Repset — training and movement apparel

Tested by the
movement,
not the mirror.

Pick clothes by the thing you are about to do, not the shelf they sit on. Every piece here has its support level, coverage, seam map, stretch and fabric weight measured and printed — including the results we would rather not have got.

The measured fields

Four numbers,
on every
page.

Most activewear tells you what a garment is for. These four tell you what it is. They are the same fields the Move Test filters on and the same fields the shop sorts by, because there is only one copy of them.

011–4

Support level

Our own four-step scale for bras, with the impact range each step was assessed against printed next to it. A sorting tool for our range, defined by us. Not a medical grading.

02pass · partial · not tested

Squat-proof

Every close-fitting leg piece, tested the same way: a same-colour base layer, a 90° squat, fixed lighting, fixed distance. Three results, and we publish whichever one we got.

03where there is none

Seam map

For each piece: where the seams are not, and where the remaining ones sit. Chafing is a location problem, so the answer is a location.

04g/m²

Fabric weight

Grams per square metre, plus stretch direction and pilling grade with the method it was graded under. The numbers that tell you what a piece will actually feel like.

Move Test — three questions

What ruined the
last one?

Tell us the movement, the intensity, and the thing that has gone wrong before — seeing through when you bend, chafing, straps digging, riding up. The picker answers from the measured fields, not from a bestseller list. Say “seeing through” and it will only ever return pieces rated pass.

Reading a card

Three rows,
always the same three.

Under every image: the rating that matters for that category, the fabric weight in g/m², and the first line of the seam map. Hover a close-fitting leg piece and the studio shot swaps for that piece’s own 90° squat test frame.

The method

A fixed rig,
or it does not
count.

A coverage result only means something if the next piece was judged the same way. Same base layer, same angle, same 750 lux, same two metres, same 90°. When a piece only holds in some sizes or some colours it gets a partial, and the exact combination that failed is written on its page along with what to wear it with.

  • Squat coverage — pass, partial or not tested
  • Support levels 1–4, and what each was assessed against
  • Seam maps — where there is no seam, and where the rest sit
  • Stretch direction, fabric weight and pilling grade
  • Drying time at 22 °C / 55% RH, still air

The rig — side-on, fixed distanceCoverage is judged from directly behind under flat light; this side-on angle is how we check the hip crease actually passes below the knee before a frame counts as a 90° squat. Sound off, and it will not start until you ask it to.

What customers said

Including the three stars.

Every review here is from a real customer. Where a reviewer was given a piece, paid for their time, or had any other connection to us, that is written directly under their name — not in a policy page. We do not edit, reorder or remove reviews for being unflattering.

5.0

The rating held up in a mirrored gym

I have bought four pairs of leggings that claimed the same thing and returned three. These are heavy enough that I stopped thinking about it by the second set. The fabric weight being printed on the page is what made me try them.

4.0

Heavy, which is the point

These are noticeably thicker than what I usually wear and that is a trade-off in a hot gym. Worth it for the sessions where I am under a bar. I would not run in them.

5.0

Pockets that do not bounce

The waistband pockets are the thing. Phone sits at the small of the back and stays there for an hour. Nothing dragged the waistband down.
