A pleated skirt over a built-in 4-inch short with two ball pockets. We ran the squat test on both layers separately; the inner short passes on its own, so coverage does not depend on the skirt staying down.

Seam map: Inner short has a bonded gusset and no centre-front seam. Skirt pleats are stitched at the waist only.

Fibre, care and origin

Fibre content: Skirt 90% recycled polyester, 10% elastane. Short 74% recycled nylon, 26% elastane.
Care: Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, inside out, with like colours. Do not bleach. Tumble dry low or line dry. Do not iron the elastic. Do not dry clean.
Country of origin: Made in Vietnam

What this piece does not do

A pass is a result under fixed test conditions, not a guarantee. Fabric behaves differently when it is stretched over a size it was not cut for, and after enough wash cycles.

Inner short tested on its own — that mattered

Most skorts I have owned rely on the skirt staying down. Reading that the inner layer passes by itself is why I bought this one. Two matches in and it has been fine.
